Stramly — Terms of Service

Last updated: August 4, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

Stramly (“the Service,” “we,” “us”) is a random one-on-one video chat service that connects two users at a time over a direct, peer-to-peer video connection. By accessing or using Stramly, you agree to be bound by this User Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Stramly. Minors are not permitted to use the Service under any circumstances, with or without parental consent.

At this time, Stramly does not independently verify your age. By using the Service, you are representing and warranting that you are 18 or older. This is a self-certification, not a verified fact — age verification is planned but not yet implemented. If you are under 18, you must not use Stramly.

3. How the Service Works

Stramly randomly pairs you with another user for a live video and text chat. Video and audio travel directly between the two paired devices (peer-to-peer WebRTC) — Stramly's servers do not receive, store, record, or have access to your video, audio, or the content of your text chat. Our server's role is limited to matching you with another waiting user and relaying the initial connection signaling needed to establish that direct connection.

Because we do not see or store the content of your chats, we cannot proactively detect or remove content in real time. Our ability to respond to a violation depends on it being reported to us — see Section 6.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to, and not to allow anyone else using your session to:

  • Display, describe, or share any sexual content involving, or appearing to involve, a minor, in any form.
  • Broadcast nudity, sexual activity, or sexually explicit content to other users.
  • Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse another user.
  • Record, screenshot, or redistribute another user's image, video, or likeness without their consent.
  • Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity or age.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including solicitation, exploitation, or trafficking.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access or interact with the Service.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' sessions.

5. Zero-Tolerance Policy on Child Sexual Abuse Material

Stramly has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. Any user who violates this policy will be permanently barred from the Service.

As a U.S.-based service, we comply with federal law, including 18 U.S.C. §2258A, which requires electronic communication service providers to report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) upon obtaining actual knowledge of it. Because Stramly does not monitor or store call content, our knowledge of a violation generally comes from user reports (Section 6). When we do obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAM, we will report it to NCMEC and preserve any associated information as required by law, and we will cooperate with law enforcement.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you encounter behavior that violates this Agreement — including suspected CSAM — stop the chat immediately and report it to vishnudabas2@gmail.com. Include as much detail as you can (approximate time, what happened) since we do not retain call recordings.

An in-app reporting button is planned but not yet available in the current version of the Service — email is the reliable way to reach us until it ships.

7. No Ownership of Your Content

Because your video, audio, and chat messages are transmitted directly between you and the other user and are not routed through or stored on our servers, Stramly does not claim any ownership or license over that content. You remain solely responsible for what you say, show, or send during a chat, and for complying with applicable law regarding the other user's consent, privacy, and likeness.

8. Privacy

Stramly does not require an account or collect your name, email, or other identifying information to use the Service. A random session identifier is generated in your browser to facilitate matching and is not tied to a real-world identity that we hold. We do not store your video, audio, or chat content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Stramly connects you with strangers over an unmoderated, real-time video connection; we do not screen users before a match and cannot guarantee the identity, age, intentions, or conduct of anyone you are matched with. You use the Service, and interact with other users, at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stramly and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any content, conduct, or actions of any user you are matched with, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates this Agreement or for any other reason.

12. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States. If you have questions about how a specific U.S. state's law applies, consult an attorney — this Agreement does not designate a specific state of jurisdiction.
